DESCRIPTION

Aequitas was commissioned by her original owner to be set up for single-handed sailing and to cover long distances in comfort and safety. Her current owners have recently commissioned a comprehensive refit which was completed in the spring of 2016. Aequitas is ready for the next Oyster World Rally or blue water cruising. Early viewing recommended.

HULL CONSTRUCTION        

GRP hull islaid-up single skin with structural stringers and floors to Lloyds approved design specification.

 

HULL FINISH

Hull colour white with cove line and double boot top lines in standard Oyster blue.

 

DECK CONSTRUCTION

Deck structure moulded in GRP with balsa core.

 

DECK FINISH

Teak laid decks, completely removed and re laid (2016) perforated aluminiumtoerail. Non-slip deck areas re-painted in 2015.

 

KEEL

High performance bulb (HPB) external lead keel.

 

RUDDER

Fully protected skeg-hung rudder.

 

STERN DESIGN                   

The stern design incorporates a bathing platform trimmed with teak slats and stainless steel steps for access to the stern deck.

 

EU RCD

Built to comply with the requirements stipulated in the European Union’s Recreational Craft Directive to meet Design Category A – ‘Ocean’.

 

ANCHOR

22kg (45lb) CQR anchor with 60m of 10mm chain and 35m warp.

30kg (66lb) spade anchor with 20 m of 10mm chain and 80m warp.

 

WINDLASS

Lewmar Ocean 2 12V vertical anchor windlass with foot switches and remote controls in cockpit.

 

DECK ACCESS                    

Stainless steelmidship gateway stanchions. Gate to pushpit.

Stainless steel bathing/boarding ladder.

 

HATCHES

Lewmar alloy-framed deck hatches.

Lewmar alloy-framed portlights in coaming.

Gebo opening hullports.

 

CANVASWORK

Sprayhood to main companionway in Azure Blue in Weathermax 80 (new 2015), with stainless steel grabrail.

Bimini including zip-up canvas cover for stowage – Azure Blue.

Pedestal and wheel cover – Azure Blue.

Cockpit cushions.

Hot and cold freshwater deck shower in transom locker.

Detachable teak mug rack on steering pedestal.

Whitlock cable system, with ‘Premiere’ pedestal and 910mm diameter stainless steel

Dinghy and outboard launch derrick.

Oyster deck saloon profile with ‘eyebrow’ styling.

Perforated aluminium toerail with alloy mooring and cockpit cleats. Additional midship fairleads and cleats, plus 2 closed fairleads on aft deck and side quarter deck.

Stainless steel grabrails atop deck saloon and stern coachroof.

Liferaft stowage built into pushpit.

Stern quarter pushpit seats in teak and stainless steel.

Fordeck stowage locker aft of anchor windlass.

 

Lazarette locker with twin stainless steel gas struts and 2 x aft deck lockers.

Gas locker for two bottles. Electronic solenoid gas shut-off valve (operated from galley).

Selden ‘Furlin’ anodized mast.

Harken backstay adjuster.
